W.E.B. Dubois v NAACP: The Fate of Black America
The Great Depression of the 1930s, ravaged black people, effectively bring a halt to the Harlem Renaissance and impoverishing Hughes numbers of blacks. While the Depression devastated all of America, it is impact on Black America was like a plague as the threat of starvation and hopelessness stalked black neighborhoods. Observing this catastrophe, W.E.B. DuBois began to rethink the NAACP’s noneconomic approach to the black condition. To this day, African Americans are suffering from the NAACP’s unwillingness to reassess and change its noneconomic approach to black development.
